Scope

This part of GB/T 25122 specifies the terms and definitions, service conditions, general characteristics and test methods of power electronic converters for rolling stock. This Part applies to power electronic converters for traction circuits and auxiliary circuits of rolling stock (electric locomotives, diesel locomotives, bullet trains, passenger cars and trailers, etc.). This section also applies to power electronic converters for other traction rolling stock (such as trams, subways, urban rail transit vehicles). This standard applies to the complete converter unit and its configuration, including: semiconductor device components; integrated cooling system; components of the intermediate DC link, including filters connected to the DC link; semiconductor drive unit (SDU) and related sensors; protection circuit. This standard does not apply to power converters that provide electrical control power to semiconductor drive units (SDU) and other equipment (such as sensors) related to the operation of the converter. The electronic control device of the converter, the sensor irrelevant to the semiconductor drive unit (SDU) and the printed board assembly of the semiconductor drive unit (SDU) shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 25119. This section does not apply to electric vehicles or low-voltage or low-power converters specified in GB/T 25119.
