Scope: This part specifies the terminology and terms of hand-fed power pulverizers and shredders, which operate in a stationary state and are mainly used for processing organic materials such as branches and wood, including power pulverizers and shredders with auxiliary vacuum collection devices. Definitions, safety requirements and test procedures. This section does not apply to pulverizers and shredders with a feed opening size greater than 400 mm × 400 mm measured at a corresponding safe distance from the cutting device. This section does not specify the requirements for pulverizers and shredders driven by external power sources and power unloading pulverizers and shredders for spreading materials or loading them into loading vehicles. This standard does not apply to motorized feeder pulverizers and shredders, and pulverizers and shredders with the following accessories: one or more cutting devices other than wire; One or more non-wire cutting elements on a driving device that cut by centrifugal force and each cutting device has a kinetic energy of less than 10J. This standard does not cover the electrical requirements for powered shredders and shredders with a DC voltage exceeding 42 V or directly connected to the mains.
