Scope

This part specifies the mechanical safety requirements and test methods for walk-behind cultivators (or micro cultivators, pastoral management machines, etc.). This part applies to the walk-behind cultivators with engine/motor rated power less than or equal to 7.5kW. This section does not apply to: - Cultivators with engine/motor rated power greater than 7.5kW; - Machinery driven by the power take-off shaft (PTO); - Electric hand-held tillers with front suspension; Electrical requirements for power cultivators directly connected to the power line.
