Scope

This standard specifies the measurement method for the electrical characteristics of heterodyne transmitters applicable to terrestrial radio-relay systems, which do not include radio frequency sub-channel networks and switching networks. Figure 1 is a functional block diagram of this type of transmitter, and the block diagram of an actual transmitter will have slightly different details.
