- Scope
- This section presents the measurement method for the electromechanical characteristics of the frequency demodulation. Because line-of-sight radio-relay systems generally do not require threshold characteristics, they are not included here. Also, where possible, only the measurements of the basic demodulator are considered, excluding the baseband part of the demodulator—the de-emphasis network and the networks associated with the audio subcarrier signals, pilot signals, and auxiliary signals. The measurement method of the frequency modulation machine has been given in Section IV. The baseband end-to-end measurements of the modulator and demodulator systems are given in the sections of Part III of this series of standards.
