Scope

This standard specifies the design criteria for air purification devices and components of special safety facilities in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, including maintenance-related designs. This standard applies to the design of air purification devices in ventilation systems of purpose-built safety facilities operating to control, limit or prevent the release and transfer of airborne radioactive contaminants that may affect nuclear safety functions under design basis accident conditions.
