Scope

This part specifies the requirements for the design, construction, performance, manufacturing, inspection, acceptance, testing and quality assurance of boxes and box supports in nuclear safety-related air handling systems. This section applies to boxes for installing air purification, air treatment, and air conditioning components. These components include filters, adsorbers, demis ers, hot and cold coils, air valves, mounting racks, fans, etc. Non-nuclear safety related boxes can be implemented as a reference.
