Scope

This standard specifies the minimum requirements for the performance, design, construction, acceptance testing and quality assurance of safety-related equipment and components for ventilation, air conditioning and gas handling systems in nuclear facilities. This standard applies to safety-related equipment and components in ventilation, air conditioning and gas handling systems in nuclear power plants and other nuclear facilities. This standard does not include the functional design requirements of the system, the overall system scale requirements and the system operating characteris ics requirements.
