Scope
This standard specifies the reference model of the 10 Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network (10G EPON) system, compatibility with EPON (i.e. 1GE PON), business carrying capacity and performance indicators, business interface types, system functions, operation and maintenance management , environmental and electrical characteristics, and regulate the physical layer and MAC layer of the 10GPEON system. This standard is applicable to 10GPEON equipment in the public telecommunications network environment, and private telecommunications networks can be used as a reference.
