- Scope
- This standard specifies the physical media dependent (PMD) sublayer, coordination sublayer (RS) and Protocol interoperability requirements for Multipoint Control Protocol (MPCP), Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) and Quality of Service (QoS), multicast control, security, operations management and maintenance (OAM), and business layer. This standard applies to EPON systems in public telecommunications network environments, and private telecommunications networks can also be used with reference.
