- Scope
- The purpose of GB/T 15936 is to facilitate the exchange of documents. In GB/T 15936, documents are considered to be items, such as memorandums, letters, invoices, statements and reports, which may contain graphic and tabular material. The content elements used in the file can contain graphic characters, geometry elements and raster graphics elements, all of which can be included in one file. Note: GB/T 15936 is designed to allow expansion to include printing features, colors, reports and other additional content types such as sounds. GB/T 15936 is applicable to file exchange realized by means of data communication or exchange of storage media. GB/T 15936 provides document exchange for the following two purposes or one of them. - Allows rendering as intended by the originator; - Allows processing such as editing and reformatting. Documents and composites in exchange may be in the following forms: - a formatted form allowing visualization of documents; - a processable form allowing processing of documents; - formatted processable form allowing visualization and processing. GB/T 15936 also specifies the exchange of the ODA information structure used to process the exchanged files. In addition, GB/T 15936 also allows the exchange of files containing one or more different types of content, such as character text, images, graphics and sounds. This standard: - defines the purpose of the document profile; - specifies the attributes that make up the document profile.
