Scope
This document specifies the definition and terminology, classification, order content, size, shape and weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates of steel and alloys for internal combustion engine valves. This document is applicable to the manufacture of hot-rolled and forged bars with a diameter not greater than 120 mm and cold-drawn steel, silver bright steel, alloy bars and wire rods with a diameter not greater than 35 mm for the manufacture of gas valves for internal combustion engines.
