Scope

This standard specifies the classification, order content, dimensions, shape and weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates of steel and superalloy bars for internal combustion engine valves (hereinafter referred to as bars). This standard applies to the manufacture of hot-rolled and forged bars with a diameter not greater than 120mm and cold-drawn steel, silver bright steel and alloy bars with a diameter not greater than 25mm for the manufacture of internal combustion engine valves.
