Scope

This document specifically clarifies the parameters of the message transmission system required for business transactions and message definitions. Changes in message transmission parameters can affect business transactions and message definitions. Each business transaction module in the ISO20022 library is related to a message transmission mode, and the message transmission mode determines the value of the message transmission parameters. This document does not explicitly define interoperability at the physical level of messaging. The overall structure is a layered specification, so ISO20022 can be implemented on many message transmissions. This document defines only the characteristics required for interoperability at the business process and message levels.
