Scope
This document, as a supplement to ISO 20022 1, gives guidance on how to extract relevant information from existing industry message sets in order to submit ISO 20022-compliant business transactions and message sets to ISO 20022 registration authorities. The ISO20022 library given in ISO20022 1 shall contain all ISO20022 compliant business transactions and message sets. The methods to be followed for adding business transactions and message sets conforming to ISO20022 into the library can be divided into the following situations: a) Situation 1: --- There is no business transaction and message set compliant with ISO20022; --- There is no industry message set ;Example 1: Pooled investment vehicle. ——Method: Use ISO20022 3 to newly develop business transactions and message sets that comply with ISO20022. b) Situation 2: --- There is no business transaction and message set conforming to ISO20022; --- There is one or more industry message sets; Example 2: Before the securities transaction (there is a FIX message set). ——Method: Use ISO20022 5 to transform the industry message set into a business transaction and message set that complies with ISO20022. c) Situation 3: --- There are business transactions and message sets that comply with ISO20022; --- There are also one or more existing industry message sets; Example 3: After securities transactions (there are FIX, Omge o message sets). —— Method: Use ISO20022 5 to compare the existing industry message set with the business transaction and message set conforming to ISO20022, and expand the business transaction and message set conforming to ISO20022 if necessary. This document describes the ISO 20022 reverse engineering activities from a user perspective. These users want to verify that the business functions covered by their industry message sets are also covered by ISO20022-compliant business transactions and message sets. This document does not attempt to define a "methodology" for reverse engineering. This document describes the following set of activities necessary to: a) extract relevant information from existing industry message sets and compare with relevant information in the ISO20022 repository;) b apply the results of the above comparisons to ISO20022-compliant business transactions and reports; development of the collection;) submission of the resulting change application to the registration authority; c Note: The purpose of reverse engineering is not to systematically generate ISO 20022-compliant versions of all existing industry collections. Change requests need to be based on a valid business justification. d) Prepare for migration to ISO 20022-compliant business transactions and message sets. The main objectives of this document are as follows: ——Capture the industry knowledge contained in the existing industry message collection; ——Construct ISO20022-compliant business transactions and message sets based on the existing standardization achievements in the industry; ——Ensure the final compliance with ISO20022 The business transactions and message sets completely cover the business scope of the existing industry message sets; --- Maximize the interoperability between the existing industry message sets and the ISO20022-compliant business transactions and message sets; 1 GB/T27926.5— 2021/ISO20022 5:2013
