This document describes the transformation rules for generating ASN.1 (Abstract Syntax Notation 1, Abs trac tSyn tax NotationOne) from a message definition compatible with ISO20022. The generated abstract syntax supports message description and validity verification. The conversion rule is a deterministic conversion from layer 3 to layer 4, which means that the ASN.1 markup generated by a given message definition is completely predictable, neither manually entering the conversion nor adjusting the conversion result . This document is equivalent to the ASN.1 generation rules equivalent to ISO20022 4. The abstract syntax in ISO20022 4 generates XMLSchema, which is ASN.1 here. In ISO20022 4, only XML in UTF8 encoding format is supported, and ASN.1 in this part supports multiple encoding formats. In addition to standard encoding formats, it also includes the ability to register custom encodings in ECN.
