Scope

This document describes the following aspects: ——an overview of modeling methods; ——an overview of library content; ——an abstract description of library inputs acceptable to registration agencies (the inputs are used to expand/modify data dictionaries and business process directory); ———Abstract description of the library output publicly provided by the registration authority. This document applies to ISO 20022-compliant business transactions and message sets for electronic data exchange between financial industry participants, independent of any particular communication network. Network dependent rules such as message acknowledgment and message protection are not included in the scope of ISO20022.
