Scope
This document specifies the explosion protection requirements for the design, construction, evaluation and service information (maintenance, repair, marking) of equipment which can be operated individually or in combination. Includes mining machinery and components for use in explosive atmospheres with methane and/or combustible dust. It is assumed that the standard atmospheric conditions (related to the explosive characteristics of the environment) that the equipment can operate are as follows: ——Temperature: -20°C~+60°C; ———Pressure: 80kPa~110kPa; ———Normal oxygen content in the air: usually It is 21% (volume fraction). NOTE: Further additional consideration and testing may be required for electrical equipment used in atmospheric conditions beyond this range. This document applies to equipment and components of class Mb (EPLMb) for use in explosive atmospheres containing methane and/or combustible dust. For Ma level (EPLMa) equipment and components, the requirements of this document, GB/T 3836.1 and GB/T 3836.28 apply.
