Scope: This standard specifies the weather protection type and environmental conditions for use, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and other requirements for mechanical products (hereinafter referred to as products) used in plateau areas above 1000m in altitude. Product categories include agricultural machinery, lifting and transportation machinery, general machinery, engineering machinery, electrical products, instruments and meters, internal combustion engines, boilers, machine tools and general parts and components. This standard does not apply to products used in special environmental conditions such as chemically corrosive media, explosive hazardous media, and mines in plateau areas.
