Scope

This part specifies the weather protection type and environmental conditions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and other requirements of mechanical products (hereinafter referred to as products) used in plateau areas above 1000 m in altitude. The product categories in this part include agricultural machinery, hoisting and transportation machinery, general machinery, engineering machinery, electrical products, instruments and meters, internal combustion engines, boilers, machine tool tools and general parts and components. This section does not apply to products used in special environmental conditions such as chemically corrosive media, explosive hazardous media, and mines in plateau areas.
