Scope

This part specifies the protection type, environmental conditions, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation and storage of mechanical products used in dry and hot environments. This section applies to general-purpose mechanical products used in hot and dry climate regions as specified in GB/T 4797.1-2005. The major categories of products include agricultural machinery, internal combustion engines, construction machinery, lifting and transportation machinery, heavy machinery, petrochemical general machinery, electrical products, instruments and meters, machine tool tools and general parts and components.
