Scope

This part specifies the types of protection, environmental conditions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation, and storage of mechanical products used in industrial corrosive environments. This section applies to general-purpose mechanical industrial products used under the environmental conditions specified in GB/T 14092.5. Product categories include internal combustion engines, construction machinery, heavy machinery, lifting and transportation machinery, petroleum general machinery, electrical products, instruments and meters, machine tools, general parts and components, etc. This section does not apply to products used in special environmental conditions such as explosive media in the environment and oceans, ships, mines, and nuclear radiation.
