Scope: This standard specifies the types of protection for mechanical products used in cold environments (hereinafter referred to as products), their environmental conditions for use, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation, storage and other requirements. Product categories include agricultural machinery, internal combustion engines, construction machinery, petrochemical general machinery, electrical products, instruments, mechanical tools and general parts and components. This standard applies to general-purpose mechanical products used in the two climate zones of "cold" and "cold temperature I" specified in GB4797.1 "Natural Environmental Conditions Temperature and Humidity of Electrical and Electronic Products". This standard does not apply to products used in cold regions where there are chemical corrosion, explosion hazards, and special environmental conditions such as oceans, ships, and mines.
