The inter-program communication module provides the functionality for one program to communicate with another program or programs. This communication is provided by: (a) the ability to transfer control from one program to another within an operational unit. (b) The ability to pass parameters between programs makes certain data values available to the called program. The inter-program communication module also allows two programs to communicate through data sharing and file sharing.
