Scope: The function-relative IO module provides the function of accessing the records of files on the mass storage in a random or sequential manner. Each record in the relative file is uniquely identified by an integer greater than zero, which indicates the logical sequence position of the record in the file. Level Features Level 1 Relative IO provides partial functionality for the File Control section, Document Description section, and entries in the I-OCONTROL section. In the process department, level 1 relative IO provides partial functions for CLOSE, OPEN, READ, REWRITE, USE, and WRITE statements, and provides complete functions for DELETE.
