Scope: The functional index IO module provides the function of accessing records in mass storage files in a random or sequential manner. Each record in the index volume is uniquely identified by the value of one or more keys in the record. Level features Level 1 index IO provides local functions for the document control section, document description section and each section in the I-OCONTROL section. In the process part, the first-level index IO provides partial functions for CLOSE, OPEN, READ, REWRITE, USE and WRITE statements, and provides complete functions for DELETE statements.
