Scope: This part of GB/T 26237 specifies a data record exchange format for storing, recording and transmitting information from one or more finger/palmprint image areas conforming to the ISO/IEC 19785-1 CBEFF data structure, which can be used for Exchange and comparison of fingerprint image data. This standard defines the measurement content, format and units that can be used for the exchange of fingerprint image data for individual authentication and identification. This information consists of required and optional items, including scanning parameters, compressed or uncompressed images, and information specified by the supplier, and can be exchanged between organizations using automated equipment and systems for identification and authentication based on fingerprint image areas . Information compiled and formatted in accordance with this standard may be recorded on machine-readable media or transmitted using data communication facilities.
