Scope

This document specifies the image exchange format for biometric identification or verification technology using human palmprint images, which can be used for the exchange and comparison of palmprint image data. This document specifies the content and units of measurement used for the exchange of palmprint images. The interchange format consists of required and optional items, including scan parameters, compressed or uncompressed image specifications, and vendor-specific information. Information compiled and formatted in accordance with this document may be recorded on machine-readable media or transmitted over data communications equipment. This document also specifies conformance test methods, test assertions and test procedures applicable to the above-mentioned data record exchange formats. Including: ——Test assertion according to the palmprint image data format specified in Chapter 8 of this document; ——Test the internal conformity of the assertion by checking the type of value that may be contained in each field; ——Semantic assertion test . The conformity test methods specified in this document do not include: --- Other characteristics or other types of tests of biometric products (such as: acceptance, performance, stability, security); --- Generate data records that do not comply with the provisions of this document compliance testing. This document is applicable to the exchange of palmprint biometric image data by palmprint biometric identification manufacturers in the storage, recording and transmission links. At the same time, it is suitable for compliance testing by testing agencies, end users and palmprint biometric identification manufacturers.
