- Scope
- This part specifies the application specification of the electric drive system, and illustrates its image in the current communication system through the use of the general interface model. The functions specified in this standard are not intended to ensure functional safety. Conventional and legal functional safety requires additional measures in accordance with the relevant standards. This section applies to the general interface between the electric drive system (PDS) and the application control program of the control device. This PDS generic interface does not refer to any particular communication network technology. The appendices of this part detail the application of the different drive specifications in the PDS generic interface.
