Scope
This standard specifies a laboratory method for measuring the airborne sound insulation of building components. The building components here mainly include walls, floors, doors, windows, building exterior wall components and building exterior walls, etc., but do not include small-scale components (their measurement methods will be specified in GB/T 19889.10). The results obtained from the measurement can be used to design building components with good sound insulation performance, and can also be used to compare the sound insulation performance of building components, and can also be used to classify building components according to their sound insulation performance. Sideways sound transmission has been suppressed in the test facility used for laboratory measurements. If the impact of other factors on site (especially lateral sound transmission and loss factors) on sound insulation is not estimated, then the data measured by this part of the test method cannot be directly applied to the site.
