- Scope
- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of construction hoists. This standard applies to rack and pinion, wire rope and hybrid construction hoists. This standard does not apply to elevators, mine hoists, and lifting platforms without guide rail frames.
