Scope

This standard specifies the technical and safety guidelines that should be observed in the manufacture and installation of construction hoists with vertical guiding cages. This standard applies to power-driven, temporarily installed construction elevators (hereinafter referred to as elevators) with cages that are used by construction site personnel and can be parked at various floors. It has the following main features: --- can carry people or people and goods; --- has guiding devices; --- the cage runs vertically or runs along the guide rail whose angle with the vertical plane does not exceed 15° at most; --- - The cage is suspended or supported by wire ropes driven by drums, or by racks and pinions, hydraulic cylinders (direct or indirect) or telescopic linkages; . This standard does not apply to: --- Cargo construction lifts; EN12158-1:2000 and EN12158-2:2000; --- Elevators of GB7588-2003, GB21240-2007 and EN81-3:2000; --- From Working cages suspended from heavy equipment; --- lifting platforms supported by forklift forks; --- working platforms of ISO16368:2003, ISO16369:2007 and EN1570:1999; --- cable cars; --- lifts for mines; --- lifts for stage use; --- lifts for special purposes.
