Scope: This part of GB/T 18029 specifies the technical requirements and test methods for stair-climbing devices operated by caregivers (electric stair-climbing wheelchairs and wheelchair transporters), and others include requirements for environmental modification, safety signs and releases. This section applies to the stair-climbing device that the caregiver operates with his back to the upward direction during the stair-climbing process.
