Scope
This part of GB/T 18029 specifies in detail the static strength, impact strength and fatigue strength requirements, test methods and requirements for publishing test results of wheelchairs (including electric scooters) whose user mass does not exceed 100kg. The above test methods can also be used to verify the manufacturer's own indicators higher than this part. In order to compare the performance of adjustable wheelchairs and electric mobility scooters based on their test results, a reference configuration should be specified. This section applies to manual wheelchairs operated by users themselves and caregivers, as well as indoor and outdoor electric wheelchairs. An electric wheelchair has three or more wheels mounted on two parallel transmission shafts, no more than two driving wheels, and a speed of no more than 15km/h. Since the maximum mass of the test dummy specified in GB/T 18029.11 is 100kg, this part is only applicable to wheelchairs with a maximum user mass of 100kg. The impact of lifestyle on wheelchairs for users whose mass is greater than 100kg needs further investigation and research.
