Scope: This part of GB/T 9978 specifies the test methods for determining the fire resistance of load-bearing horizontal partition members whose surface is the fire receiving surface. If members such as roofs or floors cannot be tested without the support of beams, this section also applies to such load-bearing horizontal partition members with beams. However, experimental data cannot be directly transferred between these two specimen components. When the structure of untested building components meets the conditions specified in the scope of direct application given in this part, the fire resistance performance results of the components that have been subjected to fire resistance tests in accordance with the provisions of this part can be applied to similar untested building components.
