Scope: The sealing element described in this part of GB/T 21283 is a rotary shaft lip seal made of thermoplastic material. The sealing element is based on thermoplastic material such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and is made with proper fit. This part establishes the vocabulary of rotary shaft lip seal rings whose sealing elements are thermoplastic materials, some of which terms and definitions refer to GB/T 17446-1998 Note: GB/T 21283 and GB/T 13871 complement each other, GB/T 13871 Elastomer seals are specified
