It is the user's responsibility to establish appropriate safety and health practices and ensure compliance with national regulations. This part of GB/T 21283 describes the rotary shaft lip seal ring whose sealing element is thermoplastic material. The sealing element is based on thermoplastic material such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and is made with appropriate fit. This standard specifies the general performance tests that can be used for the qualification of rotary shaft lip seals whose sealing elements are thermoplastic materials. Requirements for dynamic tests and auxiliary low temperature tests and materials are also specified. This section applies to rotary shaft lip seals (hereinafter referred to as seals) whose sealing elements are made of thermoplastic materials.
