Scope

This part of GB 5959 specifies the special requirements for the safety of personal devices in electroslag remelting furnaces (hereinafter referred to as electroslag furnaces). This standard applies to electrothermal devices for remelting or refining metals by direct heating of conductive slag. This part should be used in conjunction with GB 5959.1-2005 "Safety of Electric Heating Devices Part 1: General Requirements". The test methods in this part are in accordance with GB/T 10066.1-2004 "Test Methods for Electric Heating Devices Part 1: General Part" and GB/T 10066.8-2006 "Test Methods for Electric Heating Devices Part 8: Electroslag Weight Relevant regulations in Furnace.
