Scope
This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements and test methods, sampling, inspection rules, signs, labels and accompanying documents, packaging, transportation and storage of acrylonitrile for industrial use. This document applies to acrylonitrile produced by propylene ammoxidation. This product is mainly used as a raw material for the production of synthetic fibers (including carbon fibers), plastics, cyanide-containing rubber, acrylic resins, coatings, adhesives, amides, adiponitrile and medicines. Molecular formula: C3H3N Structural formula: CH2 =CH-CN Relative molecular mass: 53.063 (according to the international relative atomic mass in 2018)
