Warning: The use of this standard may involve dangerous materials, operations and equipment, but this standard does not intend to address all safety issues related to use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and protection measures and determine relevant Applicability of Regulations. This standard specifies three test methods for determining the density of liquid petrochemical products using density meters, U-shaped vibrating tubes and pycnometers. Test method A-density meter method: This method is suitable for measuring the density of transparent liquids that are easy to flow. For viscous liquids that are not easy to flow, a constant temperature bath can be used to measure the density at a temperature higher than room temperature. This method can also be used to measure the density of opaque liquids, but the reading method is different from that of transparent liquids. Test method BU-type vibrating tube method: This method is suitable for petrochemical products that can be treated as single-phase liquids at the test temperature and test pressure; this method is suitable for liquids with any vapor pressure, but appropriate measures must be taken to ensure that the samples are processed During and during the determination, there is always a single phase, with no loss of light components and no changes in composition and density. Test method C-pycnometer method: This method is applicable to the density measurement of petrochemical products that can be treated as liquids at the test temperature and test pressure. The capillary stopper pycnometer is not suitable for liquids with an initial boiling point lower than 40°C; the double capillary pycnometer with scale is suitable for accurate measurement of the density of all liquid petrochemical products except viscous products, and is especially suitable for those with only a small amount of samples Liquids, but limited to liquids whose kinematic viscosity does not exceed 50mm2/s at the test temperature.
