This specification is applicable to instrument monitoring and inspection of Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 concrete dams as well as near-dam bank slopes that have a significant impact on dam safety and other structures directly related to dam safety. The building grade of the concrete dam shall be implemented in accordance with the "Hydropower Project Grade Classification and Design Safety Standard" DL 5180.
