- This standard specifies the calibration purpose, calibration items and calibration methods of global positioning system measurement receivers. The purpose of GPP S receiver inspection is to understand the instrument performance, operating characteristics and its possible level of accuracy. It is the basis for formulating GPS operation plans and an important guarantee for the successful completion of GPS positioning measurements. This procedure is applicable to the acceptance and pre-operation inspection of various precision measurement GPS receivers. The operating unit can refer to the relevant provisions of this regulation according to specific requirements to perform inspections of high-precision GPS measurement receivers above Class A [± (5mm + 0.5 ppm)].
