Scope

This standard specifies the classification, marking codes, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging marks and quality certificate requirements for anti-twist wire ropes. This standard applies to guide ropes, traction ropes used in tensioning and laying out construction of transmission lines, and anti-twist wire ropes that require non-rotation in other usage situations.
