Scope

This standard specifies the classification, dimensions and weight, technical requirements, inspection and test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates of anti-torsion wire ropes. This standard applies to guide ropes, traction ropes used in tension construction of transmission lines, and braided steel wire ropes that require non-rotation in use situations.
