Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of hermetic motor-compressors for room air conditioners. This standard applies to fully enclosed motor-compressors for room air conditioners with refrigerants R22 and R410A (hereinafter referred to as compressors, including rotary compressors, scroll compressors and piston compressors). The refrigerant can be used as a reference for other types of similar compressors.
