- Scope
- This part of GB/T 30789 gives the method for assessing the rust level by comparing with standard pictures. The standard photographs given in this standard show the combined damage levels of rust through the coating and observable rust beneath the coating on painted steel surfaces. ISO 4628-1 defines the evaluation system for the number and size of defects caused by coating aging and the degree of uniform change in appearance, and outlines the general principles of the evaluation system. This evaluation system is applicable to defects and uniform changes caused by artificial accelerated aging and natural exposure, such as color changes, for example: yellowing.
