- This part of JT/T 881 specifies the technical basis and safety requirements for the design, manufacture and installation of passenger elevators and cargo elevators for inland river vessels (hereinafter collectively referred to as "elevators"). This section applies to the design, manufacture and installation of traction-driven and hydraulic-driven passenger elevators and cargo elevators for inland river vessels. Coastal port barge elevators can be used as a reference. This section does not apply to forced drive elevators for inland river vessels and utility elevators for inland river vessels.
