This standard specifies the operational requirements for the processing, storage, transportation, and sales of pigs, cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese and other meat products (hereinafter referred to as livestock and poultry meat) in the cold chain and between the links. This standard applies to cooled and frozen livestock and poultry meat for human consumption. This standard does not apply to meat products.
