Scope

1.1 This part of GB/T 17178 specifies the requirements for both the testing laboratory and the client to guide the conformity assessment process. These requirements are necessary to obtain compatibility of test results on similar implementations performed by different test laboratories. It is necessary to test the comparability of the results obtained by testing similar implementations. Various implementations may support only one base specification, or may support multiple base specifications or one or more profiles based on one or more base specifications. This section also provides some guidance on the conformance assessment process. 1.2 Requirements include: a) testability requirements for the intended implementation with respect to abstract test methods; b) general requirements for testing laboratories and customers applicable to any conformance assessment process; c) exchange of technical and administrative information, Includes: SCS, implementation conformance statement for each base specification or profile specification concerned, implementation additional information for testing (IXIT) for each ATS (ATS) used to test each base specification test, combination of base specifications , or components of each profile, and profile tests plus, if appropriate, a profile test specification summary for each profile; d) cooperation between test laboratories and users, referring to the definition of the IUT, the abstract test method and the ATS used and the conditions under which the tests are to be carried out; e) requirements for the structure and content of the conformance test report, which shall document the results of the conformance assessment process. 1.3 This section also applies to testing laboratories affiliated with the supplier or purchaser as well as independent laboratories. 1.4 This part applies to the conformance assessment of the implementation of the following specifications: a) The basic specifications of OSI and Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) following the testability-related requirements of GB/T 17178.2-2010. b) OSI and ISDN profile specifications following the testability-related requirements of GB/T 17178.6-2010; c) based on conformance testing specifications following GB/T 17178.2-2010; d) if appropriate, based on following GB/T 17178.6 The specified profile-based test specification summary and profile-specific test specifications; and adopt the test means (MOT) following GB/T 17178.4-2010. 1.5 The following content is not within the scope of this part: a) Attached to the consistency log by the test Diagnostic trail information generated by test results of laboratory tests and provided to customers; b) Conformance tests other than OSI Basic Specifications and Profiles implement specific aspects of the operation of the test laboratory; c) Accreditation of test laboratories; d) Authentication of OSI protocol implementations.
