- This standard specifies the requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of ductile iron crankshafts for marine diesel engines (hereinafter referred to as crankshafts). This standard applies to the design, manufacturing and acceptance of ductile iron crankshafts for marine medium and high-speed diesel engines with a main journal diameter of 150 mm to 300 mm.
